This bed was my very first creation and although I'm extremely proud of my accomplishment, I see it's flaws and want to redo it.
I'm sharing because I made this without any blueprints. I used Basswood and Elmer's Wood Glue for the materials. For the tools, I used a mini hand saw and sandpaper sponge.
To measure, I simply used the 1 inch scale rule. I measured my own bed which is 6'x5' and measured my wood to come up with 6"x5".

Finally,
I painted it using DecoArt Americana Acrylic craft paint Dark
Chocolate. For the mattress and box spring I used foam board and covered
it with batting material that I purchased from Hobby Lobby along with
Aileen's Tacky Glue. The foam board is great for the box spring but
doesn't make for a comfy mattress!! Yeah, I will be redoing this whole
project this weekend.
